Built to Be Handed Over
A marketing site for a Delhi NCR construction firm, with a content system the family runs themselves. Projects, photographs, enquiries and the logo are all edited in the browser, and the site was handed over with documentation rather than a dependency on us.

What we built

Prominent Builders has been putting up homes in Delhi NCR since 1980. Mostly residential, and a lot of redevelopment: taking the upper floors off a house and rebuilding them while the family carries on living downstairs.
They wanted a site that showed the work and brought in enquiries. It has a homepage, a projects list, a page for each project, an about page and a contact form. A project page carries a hero image, a description, the key details a buyer asks about such as configuration and flooring, a photo gallery, a floor plan and a map.
Built for Prominent Builders, Yojna Vihar, Delhi. The site is at prominentbuilders.co.in.
They update it, not us
Everything on the site is edited from an admin panel in the browser. Text, photographs, project details, phone numbers, the logo, the browser icon. Changes are live when they are saved. No deploy, nobody to email.
The design is not editable, and that is on purpose. Colours, typefaces and page layouts are fixed in code, so somebody can add a project on a Tuesday evening without the page coming out looking wrong.
Enquiries from the contact form arrive in the same panel, so new leads and site content sit in one place rather than two.

Details that keep it tidy
A few smaller things were built in so nobody has to think about them.
Sections appear only when there is something in them. The testimonials and team blocks stay hidden until the first entry is added, so the page never shows a heading over blank space.
Floor plans can be a picture or a PDF. Architects normally send PDFs, so a PDF turns into a button that opens the plan in a new tab instead of a broken image.
Photographs are resized as they are uploaded, so a picture straight off a phone does not slow the page down. And the help text under each field says where that field actually shows up, which matters more than it sounds when someone is editing the site six months later.

Handover
Twelve guides went over with the site: the admin panel, images and video, enquiries, branding, releases, the domain, email and troubleshooting, plus a printed copy of the same material.
Content changes go live on save. The occasional code update is released by the owner typing their name into a row in a file, which takes about two minutes and leaves a plain record of what changed and when.
The site is theirs to run.
