iiterate exhibited at VivaTech Paris 2025 as part of a German delegation. The clearest signal from the floor: data privacy and sovereignty have moved from regulatory checkbox to strategic differentiator.

Five signals from VivaTech 2025

Over four days, VivaTech brought together leaders and innovators from across the European tech ecosystem, a platform to share ideas, explore partnerships, and show work. Five reflections from the team:

  1. Acceleration and obsolescence. AI is quickly making non-digital, non-customizable, non-value-driven offerings obsolete. Agility and adaptability are becoming the differentiators.

  2. Defensible niches in an expanding AI landscape. Large players may absorb smaller innovations, but deep customization, user control, and domain-specific applications stay defensible.

  3. Data privacy as a competitive advantage. Privacy, security, and sovereignty have moved from regulatory checkboxes to strategic differentiators. Organizations that emphasize responsible AI, ethical data use, and regional compliance are earning trust.

  4. The power of community. Trusted partnerships and shared problem-solving keep mattering, for technical work and for making the journey more collaborative.

  5. Human bias in technology. Buyer and organizational behavior is shaped by cognitive biases, such as novelty bias, groupthink, confirmation bias, authority bias, and loss aversion. Recognizing them sharpens positioning and decisions.

VivaTech also marked a milestone in iiterate's journey as a consultancy, strengthening its work helping organizations use AI and software-driven innovation on real problems. Thanks to Yashi Shrivastava, Chhavi Saksena, and Shakti Shrivastava for the energy and execution; to Alice Jost, Technical Solutions Partner, for her guidance; to Moritz Maximilian Simon and Emilio Gonzalez for their belief in the vision; to Pavankumar Umesh Managoli, Rakesh Nagaragatta Jayanna, Rohit Kulkarni, Dhruvpuri Goswami, and Devansh Rathod for their input; and to Susanne Graffe, Daniela Liersch, and the Innovationsagentur Rheinland-Pfalz for facilitating the opportunity.

Onward to the next iteration.
