Project Introduction

CardConnect AI streamlines post-event networking and contact management by automating the entire process of handling visiting cards.

When you meet someone at an event, you simply snap a photo of their card or record a short voice note. The system’s AI modules:

  • Extract contact details using OCR and NLP.

  • Enrich this data with contextual information (like meeting topic or intent) from short voice notes.

  • Automatically create or update CRM entries with the contact, add categorized tags (e.g., “potential client,” “partner,” “investor”), and schedule relevant follow-ups.

  • Optionally, it drafts personalized introductory or thank-you emails/messages using generative AI — ready for review or instant sending.

Challenges Involved

  1. OCR Accuracy & Layout Variance – Visiting cards differ widely in design, fonts, and languages, making data extraction difficult.

  2. Context Understanding from Voice Notes – Converting free-form speech into structured CRM insights is complex.
