23.10.2023
Dortmund, Germany – September 2025
As part of Digitale Woche Dortmund (DiWoDo), iiterate Technologies GmbH joined an international program bringing together founders and innovators from across Europe and beyond. Over the course of three and a half days, entrepreneurs, technology experts, and startup representatives convened in Dortmund to explore opportunities for collaboration, expansion, and digital transformation.
The international program welcomed participants from Croatia, India, Italy, Romania, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Germany, including:
- Darko Majic (Croatia)
- Kaif Ali (India)
- Aashwin Shrivastava (India / Germany, iiterate Technologies GmbH)
- Nicolò Toniolo (Italy)
- Andrei Francisc Tecsi (Romania)
- Torben Raun and Teun van Hoof (The Netherlands)
- Sait Oguz and Haluk Inci (Turkey)
Additional international guests, such as Richard Mort (UK), Anil Kothari (India), and representatives from the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (DNHK), contributed further perspectives on cross-border innovation.
The event also featured delegations from Dortmund’s twin cities — Pittsburgh (USA) and Zhytomyr (Ukraine) — fostering dialogue around shared challenges and partnership potential. Discussions underscored the growing alignment between regions in advancing technology ecosystems and innovation-driven business development.
Throughout the program, participants had the opportunity to engage with key innovation hubs and research institutions, including:
Digital Hub Logistics Dortmund, Fraunhofer IML, Lamarr Institute, Institut für Produktionssysteme (TU Dortmund), DASA Arbeitswelt Ausstellung, DIVR, Smart City Dortmund, IGA 2027 Ruhrgebiet, and start2grow | Gründungswettbewerb.
A workshop led by Gernot Schwendtner on international expansion strategies offered valuable guidance to participating startups, complemented by a documentary film production by Kobayashi Film GmbH, capturing the highlights of the program.
The initiative was supported by the City of Dortmund’s management team — Heike Marzen, Friedrich-Wilhelm Corzilius, Bernd Buchner, and Michael Lenkeit — whose vision enabled the launch of this pilot program to promote Dortmund as an international business destination.
iiterate extends its appreciation to the Stadt Dortmund team, program organizers, and fellow participants for the inspiring exchange and collaborative spirit that defined this year’s Digitale Woche Dortmund.
